Here is an explanation of the political philosophy that underlies the politics of several seemingly unconnected subjects. This includes China, the Democratic Socialists of America, Erich Fromm, Bernie Sanders, Zohran Mamdani, and AOC. Marxist Humanism is explained with unparalleled clarity in this talk given to a Santa Monica College senior's current events class on zoom, 12-19-25. The recording was done by the College. All participants consented to be recorded. (The faces of some speakers have been blurred as a courtesy.) This video is for educational purposes only.
The talk is based on a paper I presented in a conference at the University of Havana, Cuba on November 20, 2015, entitled "Formal Axiology and the Proof of Karl Marx’s Humanism." It's available at, https://www.academia.edu/13222978/Formal_Axiology_and_Karl_Marx

Frederick Engels, lifelong friend of Marx, wrote, “Surely, at such a moment, the voice ought to be heard of a man whose whole theory is the result of a lifelong study of the economic history and condition of England, and whom that study led to the conclusion that, at least in Europe, England is the only country where the inevitable social revolution might be effected entirely by peaceful and legal means.” Frederick Engels November 5, 1886 [3]
