Friends, over the past month our posts on Facebook got over 10 million views and reached more than 3 million people — almost double the month before. That's all thanks to you.

Every share, like, or comment tells the algorithms to boost our reach, to both followers and people who have never heard of us.
So I just wanted to give a shoutout to all our supporters. You're the reason we keep reaching millions of people every month.
For those new to our group, Films For Action isn’t just a library of documentaries or the voice of one person. It's a platform to amplify the voices of thousands of independent creators, writers, and filmmakers who are challenging corporate power and building life-centered alternatives to the status quo.
As part of this broader movement, together we’re building the collective capacity to resist corporate rule, tell our own stories, and rebuild a culture rooted in empathy, ecological literacy, and genuine democracy.
This work matters because an informed public is the foundation of any real democracy.
When people can’t access reliable information or hear perspectives outside the narrow range approved by power, participation becomes an illusion.
The stories we tell — and the ones we’re kept from hearing — shape the boundaries of what society believes is possible.
Corporate media trains us to see ourselves as spectators. Independent media reminds us we’re participants — that we have agency, that change is possible.
So thank you for being part of this growing network and for keeping it alive and growing, 19 years since this project first began.
Films For Action has never had a marketing budget or taken cash from big donors. From 2013-2017, we were sustained by ads on the website, but since 2018, we went ad-free and have been 100% funded by just 300-400 hundred $5/month patron subscribers.
From the voices we share, to our funding, to the power behind our global reach, we're truly people-powered media, and we wouldn't exist or have the impact we do without all of your support.
Resharing our posts may feel like a small gesture by itself, but together we're reaching millions of people and building the public's capacity to contest the narratives promoted by empires and concentrated wealth.
In its place, we're building a media culture that exists for the benefit of humanity and the planet, and we're grateful you're a part of it.
If you'd like to get more involved with Films For Action, contribute to our library, or become a patron, check the link in the comments for more ways to connect with us and amplify our efforts.
Cheers!
