Tootgarook

Under threat and under-recognised, this beautiful Victorian wetland (South-Eastern Australia) is home to 129 bird species and a community who are out to save it.

The development proposal for St Elmo's island that was featured in this film was rejected by the local Council after a long campaign by residents on 16 December 2013.

Multiple other threats remain however.  See the links for more information.
