More than 400 protesters gathered outside the notorious Yarl's Wood immigration removal centre in Bedfordshire on Saturday and called for its immediate closure. Protesters tore down outer fences at the centre and chanted messages of support for those detained inside. Yarl's Wood was recently the focus of a Channel 4 undercover investigation that revealed racist and aggressive attitudes by staff towards detainees.
