ON the Streets we Claim NO MORE Violence At Homes!
As a communicator, I have always tried to commit myself to helping others, and, that is why in 2008, when The Ministry of Women of Peru hired me to develop an awareness project to help potential victims of domestic and sexual violence I designed a street play to be performed at the entrance of markets in populated areas.
Victims of violence as well as perpetrators are reflected on these plays, and the proper environment is created so that the audience relate, recognize their situation and be informed on how and where to turn to for help.
The mission of our project is to eradicate domestic and sexual violence, starting from the simplest to the most complex cases; through the existing State and Municipal bodies provide victims and perpetrators that turn to us with information and help them with our campaign since, in most of the cases, they both fail to recognize violence in themselves for it was passed down from generation to generation.
