This Stops Today: Justice for Eric Garner Aug 9th

Join friends, family & neighbors of Eric Garner as they gather with members of Staten Island’s Street Organizing Coalition to hold a weekly community gathering at the site of his murder on July 17th, 2014 this and every Saturday at noon.

Day will begin with a prayer & words from those who knew Eric personally then will continue with an informal community dialog facilitated by the Street Organizing Coalition.

A short Know Your Rights & How to Film Your Community skill share will be offered by members of the Occupy movement Direct Action community.

A Community Potluck will then be held in the park following closing remarks by participants & sponsoring organizations.

Please bring your outrage, favorite dish to share & open heart to help create the space to begin the conversation around violence by NYPD.

For more information please contact StreetOrganizingCoalition(at)hotmail.com.

This is an open event & is free to all members of the community.
