I believe we humans do have a purpose. 2 actually,
The first, is to search for happiness and meaning. To enjoy life basically.
More than half of the people in the world don’t find themselves in the position to search for what inspires them because the conditions in which they live in, demand them to either work more than 10 hrs. a day, worry about other family members wealth, or to simply put basic human needs as priority. To reach this kind of purpose means to be content with your life and that takes factors in to acount which we cannot control. For example: where we are born, what are the laws in the country in which we live in and, what are our opportunities and life standards. To find happiness and meaning in life we must be in a rather convenient position to dedicate our energy in to doing so.
The second, is to once achieved the first, comple the moral responsibility of doing whatever you can so others can reach this freedom. To live in privilege carries an undeniable duty to use our solidarity to help all that we can reach. To be born with the capacity to not worry about your basic needs is often misunderstood by not having to defend any injustices. To live in this bubble is a poor excuse to permit aggression to the less fortunate and that is a current reality. Somehow we have led the anxiety of the world's current crisis to validate racism, fascism, intolerance, hate and violence, thinking that that's going to make things better. Logical.
Regardless of the political strategies and very possible economic conspiracies, truth is that like in a Casino, the house always wins, meaning in this scenario, we civilians are the ones who always loose. We cannot allow intended fear divide us, we cannot led greed invite us to cruelty. There is no excuse, there is no argument to believing that some lives are more important than others, so we might as well respect that. To be entertained and bored by the drasticalities of corruption and discrimination is alienating ourselves from our true nature: humanity.
We humans do have a purpose, and that is to stay human.
