Humanity Vs Comfort

Why keep laying all of our hopes in another planet and imaginary futures? Why not try to save the heaven we already have? Should we go to Mars and realize there is water in Jupiter and then not care again if we dry out that planet as well?

Humanity Vs Comfort

And while the world keeps turning we forgot about climate change, again.
That well chewed topic which relevancy´s hasn’t but increased and yet people love to ignore because it involves too much of individual moral responsibility. It feels almost like going to church on Sunday. Nobody has really the time, the money nor the energy to worry about it all the time. It has become something like too much to ask when you have to bring food to the table pay the bills and the leaders of this world seem to think similar. Still, we are well past the point for sceptical guesses weather the global warming is real or not. Action is upon on us. No need for more documentaries, tweets or “sharing”. The world requires environmental laws, our independency from farming products needs to be seen less radical. To create a possible future not for our grandchildren, not for our children but our own sake. Stephen Hawkins believes humanity has 100 hundred years left, Pope Francis has urged the current president of the United States to take climate change seriously and while some major CO2 emitters such as India and China are starting to shift their economy to an eco-sustainable one and others like Costa Rica have managed to start relying in a 100% renewable energy sources it is not enough. We are giving up too much for a short comfort that benefits cruelly too few. This process is complicated because it involves a lot of re infrastructure. But simple, because if the leader countries of the world, have proven to have more than enough budget when comes to military, why not stop playing imaginary battles  out of ego, greed and ephemeral interests and begin to fight the real war? The one of own survival.

It is 2017, we should be passed hate and intolerance, we should be passed blaming others for our own problems in the name of progress. Progress is globalization. Progress is accepting reality. Progress is working together not because we believe in the same, but because we are the same. The world is prepared for something more. Humanity is prepared to give more. We have everything to push ourselves as a global community. We are interconnected on a massive scale in a way that has never been before. Just like any other ecosystem. It is time for the privileged 1% to see themselves as equals to the rest of the planet and work to save whatever is left of our humanity.
