"Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist who rationalized the killing of innocent civilians by claiming they were not innocent (arguing Americans freely elected presidents who became war criminals and are thus complicit in their crimes). His theory should absolutely be condemned. Nonetheless, his letter to America is a historical document that should not be censored. It can still be read via the Wayback Machine. What should frighten us after reading the letter, more than anything, is realizing how so many pro-war supporters and leaders purporting to represent the highest values of Western democracy are invoking the same logic as him today, but our society can't see it due to the pernicious and corrupting logic of nationalism and war.
