In Guatemala , the ancestors of those lands grew corn and considered a sacred grain. For centuries , this cultive was the basis of the culture and feeding for hundreds of communities.
Today, in the context of a system that gives priority to agricultural exports and monocultives ( Oil Palm, Monsanto Seeds, Mine Industry, Sugar) , not only the sacred Corn and future of arable land are being threatened , but also a whole ancient culture that represents the people of Guatemala .
