In the aftermath of the 2024 American presidential election, we have seen a lot of finger-pointing and misplaced blame. The fact that Donald Trump's brand of far-right populism beat the liberal centrism of Kamala Harris and the Democrats is not surprising.

The far right has been growing in popularity all over the world. From figures like Giorgia Meloni and Marine Le Pen in Europe to Trump in the US, liberal centrism can't hold it off. Our only hope now is a left-wing populist movement to combat the rise of the far-right.
