Resistencia (trailer)

Honduras; A military coup d'etat pushes landless farmers to carry out the most audacious takeover in recent memory.

You were inspired by Tahrir. You were inspired by Occupy Wall Street. It's time you heard about the Aguán Valley. Landless farmers have taken over the most fertile land in Central America, the palm oil plantations of Miguel Facussé, the richest and most powerful man in Honduras. Just months after he helped organize a military coup. Despite the constant threat of violence, these farmers have been forging their dreams into reality for three years and counting.

June 28th, 2015 will mark six years since the coup d'état rocked Honduras. It is also the birthday of the National People's Resistance Front.

In recognition of the ongoing struggle for justice in Honduras, Resistencia: The Fight for the Aguan Valley will be available for free for two weeks. The streaming will begin here on the critical date of June 28th.
