#Bahrain: The Clouds of Death (2013)

Tear gas seems to be a harmless enough weapon for crowd controls and riot dispersions and it’s been in use for decades now. But what if your entire neighborhood is blanketed with a thick cloud of the toxic gas? What if it’s a new and more potent gas that is used excessively not only to disperse peaceful protesters but to punish entire communities collectively?

The clouds of death have descended on Bahrani people for about two years now. Tear gas grenades are thrown into houses and people get directly hit by propelled canisters. This seemingly non-lethal weapon has so far claimed the lives of children, elderly people, diseased individuals as well as able-bodied people. The Clouds of Death sheds light on this otherwise silenced suppression.
