QUEER EDUCATION: for Young People, from a Young Person

A consciousness-raising video about what it is to be LGBTQ+. I break down the acronym, discuss my own story, signpost important services and encourage respect for queer people. ENJOY!

"The LGBTQ+ community stands for allowing people to be who they are. You don't have to conform to the labels set by society's conventions. The love you feel is more important than to who you express it."

Please share this video, especially to young people! I've learnt a lot while producing this, including how difficult it is to get a platform as a young person. Yet, if there's anything I’ve learnt from the Youth Council, it's that when young people are granted opportunities, they can accomplish so much. On this note, I urge any platform-providers watching to reach out to young people and get their voices heard.
