Climate Change Is About...Women

Climate change is about...food, water, extractivism.
Climate change is about...women, in leadership, in unity.
Climate change is about...much more than climate change.

This very short video accompanies the Democracy Center photodocumentary project 'Climate Change is About...Women'. It includes testimonies (filmed at the COP20 in Lima) from women farmers in resistance to extractive projects in Peru, alongside images from the photo project. The photodocumentary features four members of a women-led community in Bolivia where collective structures of living are sowing resilience to the violence that both patriarchy and climate change expose women to.

A taste of resistance, resilience, and empowerment.
