Bush Official Would Vote for Bernie Sanders Before Donald Trump

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, who served in the first term of the George W. Bush Administration as the Chief of Staff for Secretary of State Colin Powell, shares his candid assessments of the Donald Trump campaign, which he compares to the campaign of arch segregationist George Wallace in 1968.

When asked if he would support Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders over Donald Trump or Ted Cruz, Col. Wilkerson said emphatically that he would. You can be the judge as to whether he prefers Bernie Sanders or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He did not say. The two candidates that he had the most positive view of were Sanders and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R).
