The Stars at Night is a journey of young filmmakers, experts, artists and writers to the darkest skies around the world in a quest to re-discover the connection human storytelling has with the stars. The film explores a deeper connection to the disappearing night sky by looking at the roots of storytelling, and ancient people’s need to explain their cosmology through story.

Featuring stunning 4k astrophotography, this film explores stories inspired by the stars as well as humanities deep need for storytelling and our connections to the cosmos. The ethereal magnificence of the truly dark night sky is disappearing. In conserving and protecting the night sky, we are also preserving our brief history on this planet as human beings. By exploring the intersection of astronomy and artistic expression, The Stars at Night revisits the stories that still bind us, and in doing so, underscore the need to return the night.
