The Firework Code for Children in War

There is no safety code for some fireworks. Children in war don't have a safe distance to stand from bombs and missiles.

This video takes the audio from a traditional UK public information film from the 1970's and mashes it up with footage of bombs, missiles and the aftermath of war.

War Child works to protect and educate children affected by armed conflict. We work with children affected by war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic and Uganda.

Children make up more than 50% of those affected by conflict. Yet less than 3% of humanitarian funding is spent on protecting them.

Our HELP campaign aims to change that. World leaders are currently preparing for the World Humanitarian Summit, which will take place next year.

The future of humanitarian action will be decided at this meeting.

This is our chance to change a system that neglects the rights and needs of children in war.

Tell the UK Government to stand up for children in conflict. Make a difference: add your voice to the War Child HELP campaign petition today.
