The Condor & The Eagle will be returning to Films For Action in 2021. Until then, you can watch the film at https://thecondorandtheeagle.com/

This new, internationally acclaimed feature film exemplifies how independent media initiatives can be powerful tools for social and environmental justice organizing. Challenging the isolation and impotence that many are feeling in the face of the current health and racial crises, the award-winning documentary The Condor & The Eagle and its impact campaign "No More Sacrificed Communities" bring us together in these challenging times – reminding us of our deep interconnectedness with the Earth and one another.

Regarded by EcoWatch magazine as one of the "7 best new documentaries about global warming” (March 2020) that “exemplifies how independent media initiatives can be powerful tools for social and environmental justice organizing,” (June 2020) the film is breaking new ground in the distribution world, working directly with impacted communities and the organizations fighting for climate justice around the world.

The film impact team is joining with influential partner-organizations including Sierra Club, Amazon Watch, Rainforest Action Network, Extinction Rebellion and many others to host powerful and moving online events, presenting to large audiences the inspiring work being done by land defenders across the Americas.

The Condor & The Eagle takes us on an extraordinary transcontinental adventure with four Indigenous leaders, taking them from the Canadian boreal forests to deep into the heart of the Amazonian jungle in their quest to unite the peoples of North and South America and deepen the meaning of "climate justice." The award-winning documentary offers a glimpse into a developing spiritual renaissance as the film's four protagonists learn from each other's long legacy of resistance to colonialism and its extractive economy.

Never-before-seen images expose the global rise of land and water protectors across the continent. The recent burning of the Amazon, the mega-fires in Australia, and the global climate strikes have changed things completely. This far-reaching film documents the ongoing collective climate awakening and the imperative of urgent change.

According to the ancient Andean prophecy, when the Eagle and the Condor reunite, the world will enter a new era of peace and higher consciousness. This film explores the meaning of that prophecy in the modern industrial context. Its makers and protagonists hope that it will be a vehicle to help manifest that reality. You can become a part of that prophecy. Help us spread the word about the film release and the amazing events we are organizing!

Hi there.

I bet you've seen some great "films for action" that aren't in our library yet.

Why not add that documentary or video directly to our library? Half of our best content was added by members. Submissions just need to be non-fiction, embeddable (like from Youtube or Vimeo), and related to activism or changing the world in some way.

Here are some more tips on adding videos. We'd love you to become a regular contributor!

Cheers,
The Films For Action team
