Philadelphia Homeless Encampment-Cheri Honkala

On September 9th, 2020 the city of Philadelphia's capitalist government threatened to evict a homeless encampment that occupies a strip of land in one of Philadelphia's posh neighborhoods near the Rodin Museum.

Homeless citizens and their allies assembled to defend their encampment and their human right to housing and dignity.

Cheri Honkala, National Coordinator for the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, and a formerly homeless mother, is interviewed at the rally.
