Not-So-Free Speech: Elon Musk’s Hypocrisy & Election Interference

As Elon Musk becomes increasingly involved in overtly supporting the Trump campaign, let’s take a look at his past. Musk initially branded himself as a “free speech warrior” when he purchased Twitter, promising to end censorship on the platform. However, over time, he has contradicted many of these stated goals. From approving most government censorship requests and censoring words he personally dislikes (such as "cis") to potentially interfering with the 2024 U.S. presidential election (as he has done in Turkey and India), Musk’s actions reveal a stark hypocrisy.
