Farm to Table in San Francisco is About More than Food | Final Straw (trailer)

This series of 'Short Take' interviews offer sneak peaks of characters from the upcoming documentary film "Final Straw," a film about food, earth, and happiness. This time around, we talk with Kristyn Leach, the resident farmer for Namu Gaji restaurant in San Francisco. In the hills above San Francisco Bay, she spends the year tending to a mix of American and Korean vegetables and herbs which she delivers directly to the restaurant's Mission District location.

We talk with Kristyn about her connection to the field, how the farm does and doesn't fit in with the economics of our food system, and why natural farming is about far more than just nutritious food.
