Dying in Prison

The largest immigration detention center in America profits from denying health care to prisoners. SUBSCRIBE  WATCH MORE

Roberto Martinez-Medina got arrested for not having a valid driver's license…he died in prison after being there for a month.   The staff in the housing unit had been told that he was ill, that he was vomiting. They saw him that morning and refused to see him again. His fellow inmates were cared for him because he couldn't get medical attention.

This CCA facility holds 2,000 men.  Medinda died because CCA didn't provide him the medical care he needed.  The department of health was alerted and they refusal to do anything about CCA's neglect.

The facility was known to mistreat its resistance; green water would flow from the faucets; inmates were subjected to physical force and chemical agents.    It's an environment that has no respect for human dignity.
