A dialog featuring Brian McLaren, Barbara Holmes, James Finley, & Richard Rohr.
“The only way I can stay Christian is to do so as part of a creative movement forging a new kind of Christianity…” —Brian McLaren, author of Do I Stay Christian?
We live in a time of widespread uncertainty about the future of Christianity. If you have ever felt conflicted about the religion’s history of violence, prejudice, and domination — know that you are not alone. Considering the unprecedented crises our world faces, we urgently need to find a new way of being in the world together that bridges difference and embodies the reality of all life as sacred and connected.
In that spirit, the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) invites you to join us for a virtual discussion on the current state and future of the Christian religion, featuring CAC faculty members Brian McLaren (author of Do I Stay Christian? and host of Learning How to See), Barbara Holmes (author of Crisis Contemplation and host of Cosmic We), James Finley (author of The Contemplative Heart and host of Turning to the Mystics), and Richard Rohr (author of The Universal Christ and host of Another Name for Every Thing).
The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) is an educational nonprofit introducing seekers to the contemplative Christian path of transformation. Founded by Richard Rohr in 1987, our programs and resources are designed to help deepen prayer practice and strengthen compassionate engagement in the world.
