Revolution In Reverse: Debt, Work and the New Colonialism (2014)

1

Anthropologist David Graeber guides us on a profound analysis of the financial systems, current crisis and upheavals in the world. Taking as a starting point the tireless Occupy Wall Street movement in New York, the documentary uses reflections of Graeber and other experts to trace the current US situation and the controversial aspects of society, such as work, debt, and privacy.

Covering protests in Egypt, Italy, Guinea, Spain, and the US, with editing that alternates material from the ground and intellectual reflections, we are led to reflect on the history of debt, the riots, and, above all, the financial control system.

Produced, Directed, Shot & Edited by Chiara Cavallazzi.
