The Interrelated Structure of Reality (trailer)

The work-in-progress film will be an expansive deep dive into our socioeconomic system as the interconnected root cause of all our crises. It's about the two systems that are locked in battle on planet earth: the life system, and the money system.

The filmmaker, Zachary Marlow, is doing a fundraiser for a fast-approaching trip to Africa to film a gathering of indigenous wizards from 5 continents to explore new economic systems. Please consider pitching in any amount to help:

Tldr; need funds for epic trips to Uganda & Kenya to film a gathering of indigenous wizards to unf*ck the world, and film one of the most robust alternative economic systems in the world fusing indigenous wisdom & modern tech.

Why it matters: sharing indigenous wisdom and perspectives of marginalized peoples, telling planetary stories of regeneration and exploring new economic systems for that benefit all life.

Hello friends far and wide, the winds of adventure are pulling me once again to faraway places in search of regenerative revolution to weave into the tapestry of this epic unfolding film series about wtf is wrong with the world, how to fix it, and who's out there DOING IT!

This excursion will bring me to the mother continent of all human life and culture: Africa, to Uganda and Kenya for a spree of unbelievable opportunities to tell cosmically important stories, share the wisdom of our elders and explore this absolutely cutting edge interconnection of the ancient, natural, spiritual with the modern and technological, global north & global south.

The first trip is to Entebbe Uganda for the Kinship Return:  Nalubaale, a 10 day retreat organized by The Indigenous Commons, a gathering of 12 indigenous elder gaurdians from 5 continents to explore the creation of new economic systems, TEK (traditional ecological knowledge), regeneration, to revel in the connection of our struggles into new and common stories, and work together to unf*ck the world with wizards from around planet earth!

This is a radically unique moment in human history, and this gathering represents a truly global consciousness emerging. As the final act of this film is looking at the whole earth as a dynamic living system, I couldn't imagine a more fitting and powerful assembly of minds from around the world, pairing the wisdom of ancient peoples with fantastic new voices like Forest Landry and Tyson Yunkaporta. I am beyond excited for this-- its happening!

Part 2 will take me across the border into Kenya to Mombasa to connect with one of the most exciting projects in the WORLD: Grassroots Economics, and the Sarafu kinship currency mutual credit system, a moneyless voucher/digital system of direct exchange of goods and services connecting dozens of local communities and villages, rejuvenating the economy and connecting people rather than driving them apart. This is a project I've been extremely keen to explore and connect with since meeting Will Ruddick its founder and hearing the story of this amazing fusion of old and new technology, which is an example for the world of new systems in action. We will be exploring the sacred forests, connecting with indigenous peoples to share their wisdom, and filming the incredible wildlife and ecology of these magical places-- to give nature a voice.

All of this footage will go directly to these organizations to support their amazing work and message, and be woven into the fourth part of this series that's taken me to 3 continents so far & soon to be 4-- all with YOUR support, driven by an unstoppable vision to tell the story of earth in this climactic moment, and to reconnect us to a new and ancient story of who we are and what could be if we synthesize these lessons and examples into a new global economic system incorporating all this and so much more.

I've done all this with no formal support or funding, just pure community support and the burning drive to find thr story and share it.

Your donations will go to fund travel costs (flights have graciously been taken care of by the angels at Indigenous Commons), food, lodging and living expenses, new gear (microphones broke last trip around europe and much of my gear has taken a beating on this long ride), clothing, a new travel pack, immunizations, and suprises along the way.

Your support means the world to me, and no matter what, no matter how limited my funds, nothing will keep me from my mission to tell these stories and follow this quest to the ends of the earth!
