"Not Without Us" follows seven multi-generational, grassroots activists from around the world as they head to Paris this December 2015 for the 21st session of United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as the COP 21.
The U.N. process has failed us. Kyoto, Copenhagen, Cancún -- worldwide, we’ve never seen an agreement that adequately addresses climate change. This time,192 nations are on the verge of signing a historic agreement. An agreement that will either embrace all of humanity, or be full of non-binding proclamations tailored to profit multi-national corporations.
Will the COP 21 be a watershed moment? Or full of the same toothless proclamations of the last 20 years? Will it be a massive celebration that world leaders have solved the climate crisis? Or, a call to arms by frontline communities who bear the brunt of rising global temperatures? Can the birthplace of liberty be the birthplace of social and environmental justice for all? Or will corporate interests rule the day?
Watch our activists as they awaken the only true force that can prevent catastrophic climate change: the will of the people.
