#CuraDaTerra Maggie García: curar el espíritu

In times of pandemic, ecocide, and genocide, indigenous women who defend water and practice our spirituality are living alternatives to the climate crisis. This is Maggie García's story. From Guatemala, we present this documentary investigation that reveals how green capitalism seeks to dispossess the indigenous communities of Lake Atitlán, and how large companies and the government are taking advantage of the climate crisis to do business with water. On the road to the Global Indigenous Women's Meeting #CuraDaTerra 2021: Healing the body, territory, and spirit in times of climate crisis. --- PRODUCED by Andrea Ixchíu and Federico Zuvire of #HackeoCultural and the Guatemalan Federation of Radio Schools (FGER) as part of a research project for the Bertha Challenge, with support from ECAM - IMCINE.
