Can "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Help Us Restore Balance to a Divided World?

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is a masterpiece of animation. It's an incredible story with amazing characters and worthwhile themes that might just be more relevant today than ever before. As more and more people around the world seem to support the idea that group identities like race, gender, religion, or ethnicity matter more than any individual's values, character, or ideas; and as collectivist ideologues around the world engage in horrific violence like the recent terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, now could be the time for all of us to take a lesson from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and learn to overcome collectivism once and for all.
