Where To Invade Next is the latest film from Michael Moore, who takes a humourous swipe at the United States state of "infinite war" - where they are always looking for the next place to invade. In the film the director tells the Pentagon to "stand down" – he will do the invading for America from now on. This leads him to "invade" Europe in order to cherry-pick their ideas and use them to solve social problems in the US.
From Italy he takes their holiday entitlement (seven weeks paid, compared to America’s 0); from Finland, their education system (fewer school hours, no standardised testing). Iceland has a political class dominated by women that he’s got his eye on; and he wants to nick school lunches from France (he’s rather envious of their cheese course).
