Road to the White House Explained

Iowa is just the first of many caucus states and primaries on the long road to the White House. It's part of a complex vetting process as candidates try to win their party's nomination, with the American voter as judge. Only then can they go on to the general election for the final showdown. But first, candidates need convention delegates, and plenty of them. Katty Kay explains why.
