Eating what he considered to be a balanced diet and working out several times a week, Dave Willits thought he was relatively healthy. But, in early 2014, Dave suffered a massive heart attack at work. He was rushed to hospital, where he flat-lined three times and was lucky to survive. During his recovery Dave researched the benefits of plant-based food and, with the help from Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., adopted an entirely whole food plant-based diet. Five years on he continues to eat this way and has never felt better.
