CITES En Chile

CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments which aims to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.  Chile is conmemorating 40 years of the treaty´s validity. Nonetheless, despite local efforts, there is still illegal wildflife trade in Chile.
