The biggest changes include:
- We've gone 100% ad-free! After 5 years relying on ads to pay our staff and cover expenses, this is a rather huge and exciting change for us. We were originally going to remove ads when our Patreon campaign hit one of our bigger milestones, but during our latest redesign we decided we didn't want to wait. Time to just go for it!
This change wouldn't have been possible without the support of our Patreon backers! So thank you, to everyone who has already pledged!
Although our Patreon campaign still has a ways to go before Films For Action is fully sustainable, we believe we can get to where we need to be fairly quick, given the support we've received so far.
- Completely redesigned homepage and refreshed site-wide visual esthetic, conceived by Sara Lou and some collaborative input by our web developer Eli Dragen and myself.
- The homepage now dynamically changes every day with curated collections of the best content from our library of 8,000 videos and articles.
