Extreme Weather: The world is turning around me - climate change message

The world is turning around me
Revolving, evolving and all I see
Are the changes taking place,
Brought about by our race.

We know the world is warming
We see it howling and storming
We hear it calling and bawling
As we see our trees and forest falling.

Yet we still continue to emit
And still we cannot admit
That the changes are our fault
Even if our emissions could halt.

If only our humanity could grow
While letting climate change slow.
Then we can let our children live
A future life that only we can give.

Let us make sure that the present
In the future will not be spent.
We must redirect our growth.
Let us all make that our oath.

We can effectively work together
And responsibly keep our weather.
It is time to get off the coal and oil
Or else we may certainly have to boil.

We can live within nature's source
Let that be our re-directed course
Harvesting the wind, water and sun
We can make sure that this is done!

While we are living beyond our means
This cannot be good for our teens
So in the name of our youth
I really want to speak the truth.

Leaders be bold and strong
Or else we will say "so long."
We'll remove you from office
And make up for your losses.

We will redirect our Earth
And encourage its rebirth.
I believe in our transformation
We can end our fossil fixation.

With or without our learning,
The world will keep on turning
Yet I will not let myself despair
For this Earth is really my affair.
