This was proven during a lengthy hearing in the Wisconsin State Assembly about a bill that would criminalize life saving, medically necessary gender-affirming healthcare for transgender and non-binary youth. An elderly man showed up to testify in support of the bill, but after listening to hours of testimony, he had a complete change of heart by the time he was called on to testify.
