Howey Ou, 欧泓奕 is a 17 year old climate activist. She is also the bravest person I have ever met. Every Friday, as part of FFF (Fridays for future), she participates in youth climate activism, heading to streets of China to advocate for Climate Change. As well as this, she organises a host of other climate-related events. In this short documentary, we explore some of them and dive into why she is so determined to make a change in society. 25th September is our global climate strike day of action.

According to Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, planting new 1 trillion trees before 2030 is probably the most effective thing to tackle the climate crisis. We urge Chinese government to adapt the National Compulsory Planting Trees Codes to 18-20 trees per person per year.
FridaysForFutureChina (@fridaysforfuturechina) is a youth climate activism movement in China founded in 15th March 2019. Including 60 activists participants in total in Tongcheng, Guilin, Kunming, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hefei, Yongzhou, Beijing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Heilongjiang, Fuzhou, Laibin, Baise, Wuhan, Shenzhen. Climate activism form are from time to time panel talks, every Friday’s street activism, every Saturday #SaturdayCafe climate documentary screening, #Protestbyplanting,#PlantforSurvival, zero waste lifestyle campaign, etc. Current priority is to build offline core networks between civil societies and individuals.
