Classical liberals and the alt-right share common grievances with the left, use similar terminology and agree on common narratives. This makes moderate classical liberals susceptible to being radicalized by the ideas of the far right. While this is far from inevitable and many classical liberals retain their moderate conservative orientation, it happens enough that it's worth exploring why.
