Rise of Consciousness (trailer)

Directed by Clara Mouton et Cléophée Moser

All frames and sounds have been recorded in Palenque (Mexico) in December 2012.

In 2012, visual artists Cléophée Moser, Clara Mouton and Lukas Pfalzer travelled to Mexico to join the Rainbow Tribe and document their structure, politics, life & wishes and the preparation for the arrival of the 21/12/12.

This community or " tribe", as they like to be called, gathers individuals from all over the world who wish to experiment an alternative lifestyle to that of the city.
During those gatherings, the rainbows re-establish the link between man and nature and focus their attention towards the awakening of a new kind of consciousness within their members : " the consciousness of Earth".

Its through their rules, workshops, activities and exchanges that the community pursuits a life of harmony and balance between nature and all living creatures.

The documentary "Rise of Consciousness" explores how the Rainbows apply those principles, attempting to show a certain depiction of its participants through the poetic eyes of the film-makers.
