We discuss President Joe Biden's "full support for a scorched-earth campaign" in Gaza with The Intercept's Jeremy Scahill, who says the U.S. is providing "political cover and rushing weapons there and giving support to the most pernicious lies that Israel [is] telling."
Despite the Biden administration's recent assertions that it is helping to restrain Israel, Israel's military and intelligence operation is significantly propped up by resources from the United States State and Defense departments, explains Scahill.
"This is a joint U.S. operation militarily and politically." Meanwhile, he says, Biden continues to repeat debunked falsehoods about pictures of beheaded babies from the October 7 Hamas attack.
