The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism hosted a panel in honor of the 2011 winners of the Maria Moors Cabot Prizes for outstanding reporting on Latin America and the Caribbean on October 25, 2011. The oldest international award in journalism, now in its 73rd year, the Cabot Prizes are conferred by Columbia University to honor journalists who have furthered inter-American understanding.
The 2011 winners are: Arizona Daily Star (United States), El Diario de Juárez (Mexico), Riodoce (Mexico), Carlos Dada (El Salvador) and Jean-Michel Leprince (Canada).
