Why Doesn't the Media Understand Money?

Patrick Chalmers, former Reuters journalist (environment and later precious metals/FTSE correspondent) and the author of "Fraudcast News: How Bad Journalism Supports our Bogus Democracies", presented at the 3rd annual Positive Money conference in London.

Patrick gives a list of reasons why he believes the media doesn't understand money.  He then gives some helpful suggestions as to how we can improve the situation (monitor conventional media, critique errors and omissions, lobby to improve coverage, find and share alternative media, become the media, self-educate, stage film screenings and debates, champion local innovation, and engage in citizen journalism.)

His book, Fraudcast News is freely available as a downloadable PDF.
