In 2004, The Daily Show's Jon Stewart confronted the two hosts of CNN's Crossfire on their own show to criticize their brand of debate theater which Stewart claimed was promoting dishonest arguments. Less than three months later CNN canceled the show with the head of the network citing sympathy with Stewart's points. Unfortunately this victory didn't end all dishonest debate amongst CNN political pundits and his statements still ring true for many of the cable news network's talking heads.
