Hi, my name is Justin Roberts, I’m a U.S. Army Chaplain and Director of the upcoming documentary, No Greater Love. I was also a Co-Executive Producer of the 2014 documentary, The Hornet’s Nest. My photos have been published in print and online nationwide, and my video footage was featured in an Emmy Award winning Nightline Memorial Day special on ABC in 2011.

No Greater Love is currently in post-production and we are running an Indiegogo Campaign to complete it. 100% of my proceeds from the film will go to military-related charities.  Typically, when a film succeeds, its financial partners make a profit.  We are counting on individuals to help us finish this film so that we can ensure that a portion of the proceeds goes directly to veterans.

During my first year as a chaplain, I was assigned to the 2-327th Infantry Battalion, better known as “No Slack”,  and we experienced a number of suicides before we even deployed.  Military suicide now takes more lives of U.S. troops than combat.

  • The #1 killer of service-members is suicide

  • 22 Veteran suicides and one active-duty service member suicide per day

  • 1 in 4 Homeless in America are Veterans

  • 1 in 5 Veterans suffer from PTSD

After working with the families who lost loved ones, I got a glimpse of the full cost of these tragic events. Our hope is to use this film to gain national attention to military and veteran issues.  We believe that sharing these stories will help mobilize civilians to support our veterans and help our warriors reconnect with their local communities. I believe that together, we can turn the tide of this epidemic.

The subject of the film is an immersive look at a combat deployment  through ambushes, IED’s, suicide vest attacks, two large scale operations, and then the journey to transition home, which is where many veterans now find themselves.
