ELECTRONIC LOVE (2002) by Tilman Otto Wagner

The third millenium has found a new soul-nutrition: Electronic Love. This short movie depicts a meditative pictorial succession of interhuman activities in the medial frame of technological communication. A satirical interpretation of the "New Age"-syndrome by use of innovative montage and internet-language. The human becomes absorbed in the digital informative ocean of the medial space, up to his complete identity loss, and yet an alternative soul-existence is only made possible by the distortioned reproduction of reality through photography. The question about the illusionary character of genuine and virtual reality is being raised: „reality and imagination are two unseparable dimensions - the soul is the only existent truth!"
