Mark Fitzsimons is a credit to this cause. As the secretary of the Louth Environmental Group, he is also a vocal anti-fracking campaigner. He has ran both as an Independent MEP candidate in the 15-county Midlands-North West constituency and as local candidate in Louth. Read this article for further information on Mark.

Vincent Lavery will be with us again this year. Vincent represents D.I.D Decriminalise Illegal Drugs. Vincent was a high school teacher and college lecture who has been speaking about the need for drug reform for over 40 years. 

Karl Gill is a 23-year-old People Before Profit candidate for the Dun Laoighaire constituency, running alongside his party colleague Melisa Halpin. Karl is a recent graduate of UCD, where he obtained a degree in Social Science. During his student days, Karl was an active member of student political organisations. He has been active in the People Before Profit party since 2008 and is passionate about youth issues and ensuring more young people get involved in politics.

Ciarán Maher speaks on behalf of SSDP -Students for Sensible Drug Policy Ireland - an organisation committed to ending the war on drugs with chapters in Galway, Athlone & Cork. Ciaran is also an executive director of Norml Ireland who have recently been founded as Irelands national organisation for the total reform of Irish cannabis laws.


The amazing drummer that is Jack Doyle will be there to warm us up at the Garden of Remembrance. Wait until you hear this percussionist. Here is a little taster of what is to come!
