We Are Nature

This film's premise is that anthropocentrism, economism, and infinite growth are the greatest problems we humans face when approaching how to live on planet Earth. Our separation from nature as a species and behavioral attitude of exceptionalism, arrogance, and superiority - unfortunately reinforced by many of the world's traditional religions - has placed us at cross purposes with the natural world and its life-support systems. Now with the existential threats of climate chaos, species extinction, and global pandemics, we find ourselves stuck and lost, unhappy with what we've created for ourselves. The truth is that we are nature and we would be better served by ceasing the destruction of nature. What we do to nature we do to ourselves.
