EU/US Trade Deal Gives Corporations Power to Sue Governments Over Laws That "Damage Profits"

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the US and EU would grant corporations the power to sue governments for making laws that 'damage' their profits. These might be laws that protect workers or the enviroment. They might be laws that return important services to public ownership. Billions of taxpayer dollars could be handed over to corporations through private tribunals run by corporate lawyers. Join the resistance. Stop TTIP. Stop the corporate power grab. In the UK take part in the national day of action on 12 July.
