I love fruit trees, they give so much and generally ask for so little. Trees are one of the main foundations in permaculture(permanent agriculture) systems. They are so beneficial for the land for so many reasons. Their deep roots hold soil and prevent erosion, they provide habitat for animals and other life, they provide needed shade for the soil, they drop their leaves providing food for soil life which is then recycled back to the tree, they hold a large amount of water which stays in the soil instead of running off with soil, they provide food for humans and animals, they provide pollen and nectar for the bees and insects, they offer us wood to build our homes and cook our food and the list goes on and on. Plant a tree today and give it love and it will provide for you and your family for generations to come!!!
