It was ultimately an anti-establishment election and any Democrat coding their campaign as "normal" or "establishment" would have lost, from Gavin Newsom to Tim Walz. The only campaign that could have beat Trump is “revolutionary leftism.”
In other words: Bernie Sanders would have won.
